Summery: “Seventeen-year-old Audrey Rose Wadsworth was born a lord’s daughter, with a life of wealth and privilege stretched out before her. But between the social teas and silk dress fittings, she leads a forbidden secret life.

Against her stern father’s wishes and society’s expectations, Audrey often slips away to her uncle’s laboratory to study the gruesome practice of forensic medicine. When her work on a string of savagely killed corpses drags Audrey into the investigation of a serial murderer, her search for answers brings her close to her own sheltered world.” -From Goodreads

Review: I enjoyed this book so much. The characters were amazing, and I loved the mystery about who Jack The Ripper was in this story. It was nice figuring out the mystery with Audrey Rose.

Audrey Rose is my favorite female character. She was so smart and was wanting break how females are supposed to be during that time. She also was strong. I loved that we got to follow the story through her eyes because it gave the story so much life. I also liked the dialogue between her and Thomas. It was nice to read about how she wanted to be the type of woman that she wanted to be, as well as wanting to work in a field that was made up of mostly men.

Kerri Maniscalco’s writing was on point in this book. It was one of the reasons why this book became so addictive to read.

If you love stories about Jack The Ripper, then try this book. Kerri did do a lot of researched and used it in her story, which made it even more interesting.

I can’t wait to see what book two brings. I’m excited to see the journey Audrey Rose goes on and the next mystery she is going to solve since book two involves Prince Dracula.

Have fun reading!!!
