Tower of Dawn-Book Review(No spoilers)

Author: Sarah J. Maas

Series: Throne of Glass #6

Rating: 4.5/5 Stars

Summary: “In the next installment of the New York Times bestselling Throne of Glass series, follow Chaol on his sweeping journey to a distant empire.

Chaol Westfall has always defined himself by his unwavering loyalty, his strength, and his position as the Captain of the Guard. But all of that has changed since the glass castle shattered, since his men were slaughtered, since the King of Adarlan spared him from a killing blow, but left his body broken.

His only shot at recovery lies with the legendary healers of the Torre Cesme in Antica—the stronghold of the southern continent’s mighty empire. And with war looming over Dorian and Aelin back home, their survival might lie with Chaol and Nesryn convincing its rulers to ally with them.

But what they discover in Antica will change them both—and be more vital to saving Erilea than they could have imagined.” From Goodreads

Review: Since this is the sixth book in the series, I won’t go too much into it, but I will give my review without spoiling anything as best I can.

Right away I want to say this book is one of Sarah’s best books. The rep is there and she didn’t disappoint. After rereading the Throne of Glass books and seeing the problems in them(which I will be re-reviewing the novellas and the first five books), this one was different. It was even better than A Court of Wings and Ruin.

The journey in this book was emotional, romantic, and surprising. It reminded me of the reason why I loved this series so much when I first started reading it. I loved what we got to learn in this book and the new continent we got to see, as well as getting to meet new characters.

Though, I will say that it does take time to get into since it an over 600-page book, but it does get better as the story goes on. My advice is to just push through 50 or 100 pages because it will be worth it in the end.

Even if you don’t like Chaol or don’t want to read a book that revolves around him, this book is important to read. It gives information on things that will be important to know for the last book in this series.

I highly recommend you read this book before the seventh and final book of Throne of Glass series.
