The Renegades are a syndicate of prodigies — humans with extraordinary abilities — who emerged from the ruins of a crumbled society and established peace and order where chaos reigned. As champions of justice, they remain a symbol of hope and courage to everyone… except the villains they once overthrew.
Nova has a reason to hate the Renegades, and she is on a mission for vengeance. As she gets closer to her target, she meets Adrian, a Renegade boy who believes in justice — and in Nova. But Nova’s allegiance is to a villain who has the power to end them both.” -From Goodreads
Review: Like usual Marissa Meyer has written a book that I have fell in love with.
The superhero powers were insteresting and nothing that has been done before to my knowledge. That was something I was worried about because I didn’t want to read about superpowers that I have already to read about.
The story was that is usually in these types of stories, which is superheros vs. supervillains. Though Marissa Meyer does this different from the usual stories in a way.
The characters were interesting and diverse. They did went through character development, but there is still some room for them to grow in the nest two books. As I was reading I was questioning who was actually was bad and good, because I saw both sides in that way.
What makes me excited for the next book is finding out what happens next. Mostly because of how it ended.
If you liked Marissa Meyer’s other books or want to read a superhero book that isn’t a graphic novel, then definetly give this book a try.
Have fun reading!!
