Review: I always enjoy reading a book that was self-published because sometimes they are so different from what is being published traditionally. They always bring something new the genre their book is in. Rise of the Sparrows is no different.
Rise of the Sparrows brings new things to the realm of fantasy fiction. While reading it I never felt like I read this story before or felt like things from other series were being borrowed then changed.
The author’s writing was great. I was never taken out of the story. I was always brought back in whenever I picked it up.
The characters were interesting to read about. The main character Rachael was an awesome female heroine that I never got annoyed by and was rooting for through out the book. The character development was handled well. I never felt like it was too fast or characters doing a 180.
The world building had been done perfect. Yes, it didn’t have like a lot, but I enjoy when books do this instead of dumping pages upon pages of world building.
Rise of the Sparrows is defiantly worth the read if you want to read a fantasy that feels new and has interesting characters.
