Review: Victoria Schwab never lets me down. All of the books I read from her, including this one, has blown me away. She knew how to write a great and sad ending that felt like it wrapped everything up.

With this book I found it to be better than the first, because you really do feel on edge with the fact that anyone can die in this book.

What I loved most about this book was the world Victoria created. It’s interesting and I would love to learn more about how this world came to be the way it is. I just would love more of this world.

This book does have it’s slow moments but right away it makes up for it and you forgive the slow parts.

I’m not going to spoiler the ending but I want to mention it was good and it did make me cry.

If you have read This Savage Song, then you should defiantly read this. It very much worth it.

Have fun reading!!!

This Savage Song-Book Review(No Spoilers)

Author: Victoria Schwab

Series: Monsters of Verity #1

Rating: 5/5 Stars

Summary: “There’s no such thing as safe.

Kate Harker wants to be as ruthless as her father. After five years and six boarding schools, she’s finally going home to prove that she can be.

August Flynn wants to be human. But he isn’t. He’s a monster, one that can steal souls with a song. He’s one of the three most powerful monsters in a city overrun with them. His own father’s secret weapon.

Their city is divided.

Their city is crumbling.

Kate and August are the only two who see both sides, the only two who could do something.

But how do you decide to be a hero or a villain when it’s hard to tell which is which?” -From Goodreads

Review: Victoria Schwab has done a great job with this book.

She brings us to a city where there is violence with safety and protection being a luxury. Not only that, but when violence happens monsters get made. The whole premise was what made me want to read this book and I was not disappointed. Nothing was lacking in this book.

As soon as you start reading page one, you are instantly hooked by the two main characters, August and Kate. August became my favorite character right away because of how much me and him were alike with what we thought things should be handled. As for Kate, it did take me a bit to trust her because of how she wanted to be like her father, but then she became my favorite character too.

Victoria’s writing in this book was great. Especially the dialogue and interactions between characters.

If you loved any of Victoria Schwab’s books, then you need to read this one.

Have fun reading!!!
